New beginnings.

Well, I suppose I should post something here, as I've had this blog for quite a while now. I'm moving here from Livejournal, I guess because it seems more grown up and less like a networking, Myspace type situation. Not that I don't enjoy many of the people I've met on LJ, but it simply doesn't fit my life anymore.
So blogger it is then, mostly to have a tie to
my Mom's blog.

I doubt many random people will find this blog and need to know about me, so I'll keep my introductions brief. I don't desire becoming internet-famous.
I lead a fairly simple life, here on the Southern Oregon Coast. I'm happily married, with 2 wonderful, loving, hilarious dogs. My best friends (besides the husband) live in other states, and my mom could now be called a professional traveler.
I am a Biologist by training, Naturalist (ranger) & substitute teacher by profession. I'm a fairly new knitter, and I dabble in lots of different crafts. I love reading, cooking, traveling, & nature, so expect those things to feature here, as well as crafts and every day life. I am weird, but with a sense of humor and aversion to drama. I fancy myself a writer, but don't often find I have much to say, so posts might not be incredibly frequent.
